Local structure

Mars Belgium is based in two locations.

Since January 1st, 1997 Mars Belgium has its registered office in Sint-Stevens-Woluwe, a formerly independent municipality of Zaventem.

The UNCLE BEN’s® rice production unit which is located in Olen – in the province of Antwerp – is the only factory of its class outside the United States. The factory was built in 1977 and manufactures the UNCLE BEN’S® branded items. The factory is a distributor of the UNCLE BEN’s® rice to more than 30 countries. 93% of its production is destined for export, mainly within the European region.

The Mars European market generates a 9,5 billion Euro turnover. Mars Belgium accounts for 295 million Euro of the Mars turnover in Europe.

Mars Belgium employs over 300 associates, spread across the two sites that are located in the Brussels agglomeration and in Olen. The Belgian offices specialise in Chocolate, Food and Petcare.
